Update: We are still going to hold a BBQ, but this will be a small event this time due to the time of year and limited availability of members. We will be holding the summer fete later in the year, so watch this space for updates!

The Great Get Together encourages communities to hold events such as street parties around grand celebrations, like the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Last year we held an extremely successful barbeque with guest speakers and a fantastic bake sale.

We are planning a similar event this year, and warmly invite all members to a BBQ on Wednesday, 11 July from 12-2pm on the Students’ Union patio, outside the bar downstairs at Frenchay Campus. (If it rains we will move inside to the bar itself.)

We hope that everyone will be able to attend, and in order to help us with catering numbers we ask that you register on our event page.

This invitation is for UNISON members only but we always encourage new members, so feel free to pass this on to any of your colleagues who aren’t already in the union. They can request a membership form when they register and can even sign up on the day itself.

We will be providing transport to Frenchay from the other campuses, so if you require this please make sure to indicate it when you register.
